Building Resilience
Some of the most useful conversations I have with clients — individuals and teams alike — aren't about skills at all. They're about how someone responds when things get hard: when a goal stalls, when criticism lands, when the workload won't ease off.
That's why I'm pleased to bring MTQ48 (AQR International's Mental Toughness assessment) into the Clear Path Development suite.

What It's Not!
Mental Toughness isn't about bravado or "toughing it out." It's a well-researched psychological framework built around four areas — Control, Commitment, Challenge and Confidence — that shape how we handle pressure, setbacks and change. Used well, it gives individuals and teams a shared, non-judgemental language for something we usually only talk about after it's gone wrong.
What I like about it, and why it sits naturally alongside the coaching and organisational development work I already do, is that it's diagnostic without being reductive. A score is a starting point for a conversation — with a coach, a manager, or a team — not a verdict. It always sits alongside other evidence: how someone actually shows up, what colleagues observe, what the person themselves recognises as true.
